Beaumont is a large level 4 academic teaching hospital and is affiliated with Dublin City University and Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland located 5km north of Dublin City centre. Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a large general hospital across two sites, Luton and Dunstable University Hospital and Bedford Hospital. The Trust has approximately 1057 inpatient beds across the two sites and provides a comprehensive range of general medical and surgical services, including Emergency Department (ED) and maternity services for people in Luton, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and parts of Buckinghamshire.

We serve a diverse population across Luton, Central Bedfordshire and Bedford Borough Both hospitals provide a full range of acute services and has developed specialist services including cancer, obesity, neurophysiology and oral maxillofacial (jaw) surgery.
We have the responsibility for treating the most premature and critically ill newborn babies across the whole of Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire in our tertiary level Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). We also have one of the country’s largest breast screening centres.

Cappagh National Orthopedic Hospital has 159 beds and is the major centre for elective orthopedic surgery in Ireland. The Hospital is a tertiary referral centre for the treatment of complex orthopedic problems including joint replacement surgery, revision joint surgery, foot and upper limb surgery, primary bone tumors, spinal surgery, sports injuries and pediatric orthopedic surgery. In addition, the Active Rehabilitation Unit is a 52 bed unit providing a multidisciplinary service to persons over the age of 65 years whose acute care is completed but for whom discharge to their destination is delayed.
Cavan & Monaghan Hospital currently provides services to the population of both counties and its catchment area extends to counties Meath, Longford and Leitrim. All acute inpatient services are based in Cavan General Hospital. Monaghan Hospital’s primary role includes the continuing care for medically discharged patients requiring inpatient stepdown and rehabilitation care. Both Hospital sites provide extensive outpatient, theatre and day services with a Minor Injuries Unit located on the Monaghan Hospital site.

Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) covers a large area of the state, from Goulburn and Crookwell to the Victorian border also surrounding the ACT on three sides. It extends from the pristine beaches of the NSW South Coast, the farmlands of the Southern Tablelands, across the picturesque Great Dividing Range and the spectacular Snowy Mountains.

St. Francis Hospice provides a specialist palliative care service for the people of north Dublin city and
county and surrounding counties. We are a voluntary organisation under the care of the Daughters
of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul. Some of the services we provide are:
Community Palliative Care
Our team is made up of doctors, nurses, social workers, chaplains, occupational therapists,
physiotherapists, complementary therapists, lymphoedema therapists, pharmacists, care assistants,
household staff, administration staff, volunteers and contract staff.
We supported nearly 1,800 patients and their families in 2020 and provided specialist palliative care
to more than 1,400 people in their homes. In addition, 522 patients were admitted to our Inpatient
Units in Raheny and Blanchardstown for symptom management and end of life care.
Our bereavement services help individuals and families, through support and counselling, both
during the person’s illness and afterwards.
St Patrick’s Mental Health Services (SPMHS) is Ireland’s largest independently governed, not-for-profit mental health service. We are committed to the provision of the highest quality mental healthcare, the development of new mental health treatment and prevention services, as well as enhancing our current range of specialised programmes.
We provide a range of mental health services that cater for addictions and dual diagnosis, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, depression, eating disorders, psychosis, mental health difficulties in older adults as well as young adults. Community and outpatient care is provided through our Dean Clinics around the country and day patient services through our Wellness & Recovery Centre. Our specialised Heart Failure programme seeks to improve quality of life for patients with heart failure in the East Coast Area, through provision of expert multidisciplinary advice, education and support. The team includes consultant cardiologists, clinical nurse specialists, psychotherapist, physiotherapist, dieticians. We are also the regional training centre for Pulmonary Rehabilitation Care.
The Department of Nursing is dedicated to the provision of high-quality patient-focused care and a nursing degree programme in association with the University College Dublin (UCD) is now being delivered preceded by Diploma (RCSI) and Certificate courses for student nurses.

The National Maternity Hospital is the largest maternity hospital in Europe and tertiary centre for Ireland. The hospital has approximately 8,500 deliveries per year with a bed complement of 200. The busy gynaecological unit is a national referral centre for gynaecological cancer. The neonatal unit is also a national referral centre and participates in the national neonatal transport programme. The laboratory provides a comprehensive service contributing to the care of perinatal, neonatal, antenatal and gynaecology patients. The Community Midwifery Service offers women the options of Domino, Early Transfer Home and Home Births. All activities are managed within a strong clinical governance framework and employees are centrally involved in quality improvement initiatives around the hospital.
The Hospital is a university teaching hospital with affiliations to University College Dublin (UCD) and the Royal College of Surgeons (RCSI) in Ireland.
